This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on our website, why, and how you can manage your choices.

What are cookies?
Cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) are small pieces of data saved in your browser when you visit a website. They keep the site working, remember your preferences and help measure usage.
What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| roas-language | Cookie and local storage | Remembers the site language you chose | 1 year | Essential, no consent needed |
| roas-cookie-preferences-v1 | Local storage | Stores your cookie choice | 180 days | Essential, no consent needed |
| roas-chat-teaser-seen | Session storage | Keeps the chat greeting from showing again | Tab session | Essential, no consent needed |
| roas-analytics-session | Session storage | Random session ID for our own analytics, used to measure page views and interactions in aggregate | Tab session | Only with your consent |
| _ga, _ga_9VLQ87F0GC | Cookie (first party) | Google Analytics 4: tells visitors and sessions apart; measures page views and interactions in aggregate | 2 years | Only with your consent |
| _fbp | Cookie (first party) | Meta Pixel browser ID; measuring and showing Meta ads | 90 days | Only with your consent |
| _fbc | Cookie (first party) | Click ID when you arrive from a Meta ad; ad attribution | 90 days | Only with your consent |
The marketing category contains only the Meta Pixel, which is loaded only with your consent. We do not use Google Ads or any other third-party advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Categories
- Essential and functional: needed to run the site and to remember your language and consent choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics: helps us understand how pages are used. It runs on our own system and on Google Analytics 4; our own system does not store IP addresses or location, and ad personalisation signals are off in Google. It is active only if you consent.
- Marketing: the Meta Pixel (measuring and showing Facebook and Instagram ads). Active only if you consent.
Managing your choices
- Use “Accept all”, “Reject optional” or “Manage preferences” in the cookie notice shown on your first visit.
- Change your choice at any time through “Manage cookies” in the footer of every page.
- If your browser sends a privacy signal (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track), optional analytics stays off.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may stop features like language memory from working.
Third-party content
Some blog posts may embed videos from providers such as YouTube or Vimeo. When you play them, the provider may set its own cookies under its own policy.
